CLIENT: The New Home Company
PROJECT: Orchard Hills Brochures & Inserts

To promote TNHC's upcoming Orchard Hills project, I created a set of brochures for each of their neighborhood developments; Amelia and Trevi. Each brochure featured custom photography of the surrounding area, as well as sections that highlighted the floorplan layouts for each home model. The pieces also contained a pocket that held a set of see-through Vellum inserts, which allowed the user to match optional features over a corresponding unit on the main floorplans within the brochure.

CLIENT: City Ventures
PROJECT: Ambassador Gardens Campaign

To promote The Ambassdor Gardens, City Ventures' beautiful new residential home development in Pasadena, I helped develop a series of high-end printed pieces in order to leverage the communiy's brand to wealthy buyers. The property is situated on the century-old grounds surrounding the beautiful Fowler Garden, so all off the materials capitalize on the breathtaking views and "floral" imagary of the area. A brochure, newspaper "Topper" insert, and a series of print ads in local publications (such as LA Times) helped promote the homes. I also developed a monthy eNewsletter template to reach potential buyers and current residents with info on community happenings.

CLIENT: Lennar
PROJECT: Avenue One Campaign

Avenue One is a new "urban village" in the heart of San Jose, CA. Built by the Lennar company, these modern residences offer parks and paseos, a clubhouse, pool and spa, and easy access to Caltrain and light rail. Seeking to appeal to the young working professionals and families employed by the Tech giants in the area, the look and feel of the materials needed to reflect a clean, modern aesthetic. The brochure featured a unique raised UV texture pattern that represented the "wavy" lines of the water in the pool photo. A series of print and online ads helped promote the community, as well as outdoor billboard signage placed in high-traffic commuter areas. A Website design was also presented to the client, but ulitmate scrapped for budgetary reasons.

CLIENT: Reaching ALL Youth (RAY)
PROJECT: Campus Postering

Reaching ALL Youth is a non-profit organization that helps middle school students learn to plan and assume responsibility for their future success. I created a series of posters for RAY, which were displayed on middle school campuses, as well as trade shows and conferences where students were in attendance. The posters needed to be attention-getting and appeal to a young audience, so the designs often played off of popular movie poster concepts at the time, or used trendy advertising effects aimed at a more youthful demographic.

CLIENT: Brian "Bolshevik" Schroeder
PROJECT: Propaganda Parody Flyer

This project began as a joke on a friend, and turned into a full-blown guerilla marketing campaign. My friend Brian comes from Russian lineage, so we started calling him "Bolshevik". However, he ended up using it as a stage name for his career in stand-up comedy. I developed a postering campaign based off of Russian propaganda ads from the early 1900's. We plastered these posters all over LA to promote his sets at local comedy clubs.

CLIENT: Dr. Luigi Gratton
PROJECT: Book Jacket & Interior Page Layout

Dr. Luigi Gratton is the Vice President of Medical Affairs and Education at Herbalife International, where he coordinates the strategic management and direction of Herbalife's Nutrition Advisory Board. He is also a clinical physician at the UCLA Center for Human Nutrition in the Risk Factor Obesity Program. Dr. Gratton has written many articles and publications, such as this book entitled "Keep It Simple: Diet and Exercise". I designed the book's outer jacket and handled the interior copy layout for this 200-page publication. The book was adapted into many different languages for international sale, so I also coordinated with Herbalife marketing teams in several foreign nations to provide the necessary files and information for conversion.

CLIENT: Adam Greer Designs
PROJECT: Realtor Newsletters

For this project, I partnered with another designer operating in Huntington Beach, California, who already had an existing client-base of realtors in the area. The concept behind these newsletters was to customize the cover and back panels to a specific agent and their information, while keeping costs down by using generic template information on the inside panels. The front features the agent's photo, contact info, and personal message, while the back can hold information about a featured property listing, home value comparisons for a specific neighborhood, or a personal biography. The inside of the newsletter (which is updated monthly) features tips on buying/selling a home, ad space for local businesses, and other helpful tips pertaining to home ownership. The newsletters serve as a valuable leave-behind for realtors as they "farm" various neighborhoods in the South Bay.

CLIENT: Xceed Financial Credit Union
PROJECT: Sidewalk Sign / Poster

Xceed Financial's mascot is a superhero known as Numbers Guy, "The Champion of Low Rates". In order to feed off the nationwide buzz revolving around "Bank Transfer Day", I created this artwork to be displayed on large sidewalk signs outside the branch locations to increase foot-traffic. Bank Tranfer Day began as a grassroots movement on Facebook by customers who were fed up with the "Big Banks" and all their fees. The goal of the movement was to get customers to switch their accounts from the larger banks to smaller, member-owned credit unions in order to receive better rates and customer service. For this design, I payed homage to retro boxing promotion posters in order to hype the epic showdown of Numbers Guy versus the evil "Big Bank Bad-Boy". The posters drew a lot of attention from people walking by Xceed's financial centers, which helped increase new member acquisition.

CLIENT: Rustyn Vaughn Lee
PROJECT: CD Artwork and Concert Flyers

Rustyn Vaughn Lee is a Singer/Songwriter based out of Las Vegas, Nevada. He performs in various clubs and lounges on the Vegas Strip, so I have created many promotional concert flyers for his appearances. The designs are usually based off of the colors and style of the location's current branding materials. Using specific sizing templates from the manufacturer, I also created the CD package artwork for Rustyn's first album release. This includes the graphics for the cover, spine, back, and liner insert, as well as the CD label imagery for the actual disk.

CLIENT: David Brown, a.k.a. "The Brown"
PROJECT: Poster / Logo Design

This poster was created for David Brown, affectionately known among friends as simply, "The Brown". The silhouette design was created from an existing photograph of David that I converted to vector artwork, and the concept was inspired by the famous Ernesto "Che" Guevara poster iconography. I also adapted "The Brown" design into logo format for use on stickers, stencils, and apparel.
